Summer lockdown and keeping your garden looking great

Water Hardness and how is it measured
10th July 2020So we all know that the winter months are tough on our vehicles, a mixture of mud, sleet and salt from de-icing can take its toll on our vehicles. So it comes as a surprise that more of us clean our cars in the summer than any other time of the year. Maybe it’s the sunshine, maybe it’s the kids being off school and needing to fill their time, who knows.
So how can softened water help your car look clean? Its actually quite simple. Just like your shower screen, if you use hard water for cleaning your car, the calcium and magnesium white mark residue will be left behind.
The only way to tackle this after hard water would be to spend a substantial amount of time polishing your car up afterward. So can softened
water make cleaning your car easier? Simply put, yes! With the eradication of limescale the white marks should be minimal.
Now true car enthusiasts will probably finish every clean with a buff and polish (which even that will be made much easier with softened water) but for us regulars, who are happy to just see the car clean, having softened water will make a massive difference.
Our customers, based on their needs can decide whether they require any outside taps on hard or softened water feeds, so whether you are a car washing fanatic or gardener the choice is yours. So if cleaning your cars every weekend is your passion, you can be confident that your family, home AND car will benefit form the installation of one of our water softeners.
